Post 8

Hi classmates, in this post I will tell you what kind of music is that I like. In general, I prefer the music in Spanish language. From Chile, today I enjoy the folk music from the bands Quilapayun, Inti Illimani, Sol y Lluvia, Bordemar; the fusion music from the bands Congresso, Los Jaivas, and the Cueca Chora style. About Chilean rockers I like the band Los Miserables. They are the best band in the way of another band called Los Prisioneros that I like too. That two both have very interesting lyrics in them songs. Los Tres is another rock band that I like, they have good music. Gondwana and Perrosky are in my personal ranking too. Another very interesting Chilean artist is Mauricio Redolés, who write the song “¿Quién Mató a Gaete?” (“Who killed Gaete?”). This one is a great poem, is another way of the Chilean rock and roll expression. Another style that I like is the Tango. I was hear it when I was young. On this past time I don´t gave attention, I thought that is an old and boring music. But today I have a reunion with it. Now I hear Cambalche, Uno, Muñeca Brava, and say wow! There are pure art! I like the Jazz too. Satchmo (Louis Armstrong), Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Art Blakey, Mcoy Tyner, they are some of my favourite artist of this music style. About it, I like to go to Jazz concerts in Bellavista’s bars. The cover in those places is a nice price. The Blues is on my list too, and the artist names are B. B. King and Eric Clapton. Finally, another music style that I like is the Caribbean and Mexican music. Son, Rumba, Bachata, Bolero, Reggae, and Rancheras are in my heart. When I hear all this music styles, my feet can´t stop to move and knock the floor.

Hi everyone. On this occasion I write something about environment. The care of environment today is urgent. The human lifestyle, with many contaminants practices, has our planet in a critic situation. But this is not a new thing. I think than all the problem was started with a success called “The Second Industrial Revolution” between 1870 and 1920. The image of this success is very typical “picture”: industries to emanate smoke. The characteristic thing of this revolution is the chemical and electrical development, and on the other side the massive use of oil and steel. In a long time of development, nothing was worried of environment. Then the earth was accumulating many toxic wastes. Just until a few years ago the environmentally friendly practices was learn in the school. Today many countries are demanding environmentally friendly practices to the industries and enterprises. Maybe in the “First world” that practices are respect the environment. I am not sure, but I think the last big country witch not respect it, is China. Heir in the “3th world” we are beginning in the way of environment care. Now, in Chile, we talk about carbon footprint, but we use spray deodorant, even when we have over our heads the ozone layer hole; we have a massive use of cars; the people in cars don`t respect people in bikes; we have thermo electrical factories that consume oil or coal, and produces a lot of smoke. Personally, I try to have environmentally friendly practices. I use public transportation, I walk or use bike instead of a car, I don`t use spray deodorant, I recycling paper, plastic and glass, I don`t throw thrash on the ground, and I try to learn this practices to my family and friends. I hope, sorry, I’m sure the new generation will be very care with the environment. Is the only way to survive in the only place we have to live.

Hi everybody, in this occasion I write about a new that appears today in La Tercera Newspaper. Honestly I don’t read every day this newspaper, but I could read about this news in Subway, in the newspaper of another passenger, when I went to the National Library of Santiago City. The new is about the football player Roberto Cereceda and his consumption of cocaine. This could be a sports topic for the press on Thursday 7th, but it is a psychological topic too. First, Cocaine addiction is a psychological dependence problem. When you feel better with Cocaine, later you think in this drug when you feel not fine. You consume, you feel, you think, you consume, you feel, you think. Then, in a long time of consume, psychological dependence could be physical addiction. Even when you want to let this drug, in this point your body asks for it. But, why the human consume cocaine? Ah, many reasons have in the center of this human problem. Reasons like: sorrow, secret suffering, pain, distress, pressure in job, type of personality, and a lot of invisible problems for friends, family, and everybody who lives with consumer. Roberto is a sport player, the sport regulation judges and condemns him. I don’t think Roberto’s being is a crime, I think Roberto needs support, comprehension and professional help. Psychology have many ways to give a solution, but none are easy. I remember Diego Armando Maradonna’s history, and remember the world division around this case, but not much people think and consider the psychological topics about this. When I say psychological topics I talk about social, economics, historical, familiar, individual topics too. About Roberto, national press can say everything, can make money with Roberto’s news, or can be a good friend of this sport player. Nobody are free of fall in down. Not for nothing, football is an entertainment than some people could look it like a drug.

Hi. In this post I tell you what places I think should a foreigner tourist visit in Santiago de Chile. At first, I can offer them history places to visit. For example: where Santiago city was founded. This place is “Plaza de Armas”. In there we can see two monuments: the founder Pedro de Valdivia riding his horse in a corner, and the native people’s monument in the other side of the square. Around the square we can see the Catholic Cathedral, the government palace, and other buildings actually shopping places. In our historical tour we visit San Francisco’s Church, Santa Lucía’s Hill, and La Moneda Palace. In this moment of our trip we can be thirsty. Is time to know popular places. Let’s go to “La Piojera” for drink a “Terremoto”, then we can have to lunch in “Mercado Central”, and visit “Estación Mapocho”. We use “Metro”, our subway to go to San Cristobal’s Hill. In the top we see Santiago city and the smog cloud. The tourist can take pictures or buy Santiago city’s postcards without smog. In the base of San Cristobal Hill, we can visit “La Chascona”, one of many houses of Pablo Neruda, into this cultural center the foreigner can feel like a friend of the poet. In this moment we are very near of the “Carrete” zone. Bellavista is welcome us with open arms. And open bars and restaurants too. All foreigners should drink Pisco sour, red wine, and enjoy chilean cuisine. If they don’t have money, enjoy a “Chela” the actually name of beer in Chile. In a second day, I think the foreigner should visit our marginal places. The tourist should know Chile is not like we painting it around the world.

Hi, this post is about the country I would like to visit. At first, I tell you Chile is the country I would like to visit from Arica to Antártida. I know many places from it. All of them are beautiful. I find lovely people, impressive landscapes, and one amazing thing about language: all the different accents and words to use of it in any different town. But I would like to visit all the corners of my country. Dangerous places too. The last summer I stay in Chaitén, and a can visit, with a crazy guide, a part of Pumalín, just this is no admittance because heir is the Chaitén volcano. Fortunately, nothing bad was happened. But on the other side, unfortunately, the town was under the ash, the people was stay in other places, there are not water and electrical services, and I think in a ghost town like some towns of the north of Chile. Well, places like this I would like to visit. In this occasion I visit Hornopirén, and a part of the Austral Way too. Many other countries I would like to visit, but someone of them I prefer for begin a long travel around the world is Mexico. And why not, maybe study, work and live there. I hear interesting and beautiful things of the place of Mayas, Aztecas, Chiapas, Ciudad Juárez. A friend of mine tell me: Mexico causes you fear, but is a lovely country.

Hi everybody, this first post is about my experiences during the first term of 2010. Well I remember than the university year began with the February earthquake consequences. All the students were very worried for give help to people who fall from favor. In April the classes began. Today I think in the relevant things I learned: Organizational, Communitarian, and Legal Psychology, and of course, more details of English language. One thing that I specially remember was my first case with a patient of the real life. She was a woman who lives under pressure of her job. I had four interviews with her, and I can write about her habits, familiar history, and her distress. In that moment of my career I can’t make much more. This work was simple first diagnosis, that is, a primitive diagnosis. Then I gave to the woman devolution of interviews, and she was very grateful. The devolution was many useful comments and explains for her daily routine.
Out of the study, I played swim in the university swimming pool located at Independencia Street. I was to enjoyed with Football’s World Cup of Southafrica on Radio and TV, and celebrate many birthdays on July.
